Committees

Committees

Being a student representative also means contributing to the functioning of the School, serving as members not only of the governing bodies we have been elected into, but also of several committees that support everyday life at SISSA. The Student Council also maintains a few standing committees to facilitate its own work. Students who are not representatives can also become members of a committee.

  1. Statutory committees of the School
  2. Executive committees of the School
  3. Standing committees of the Student Council

Statutory Committees

The Statutory Committees of the School are instituted by the laws and the SISSA Statute; they include representatives of the Administration, the Faculty and the students.

Executive Committees

The Executive Committees of the School are appointed by the Director and are in charge of specific aspects of SISSA management. Not all executive committees have student representatives; we list only the ones we are involved in. (SISSA page on committees.)

Standing Committees

To assist the members of the executive committees, the Student Council maintains permanent Standing Committees, composed of the members of the corresponding executive committees, other students, and relevant experts when needed. The Council may also appoint working groups to address specific issues of limited duration or scope.
